Rim to Rim

Day 1
Meet at the Bright Angel Lodge and van shuttle to the North Rim Campground.

Day 2
Descend seven miles to Cottonwood Campground via the North Kaibab Trail. We will explore Roaring Springs before reaching Cottonwood, deep in Bright Angel Canyon graced by Bright Angel Creek.

Day 3
Continue down the North Kaibab Trail to Bright Angel Campground. We will explore beautiful Ribbon Falls that plunges over a 100 feet and lands on a moss draped travertine cone. We will enjoy the maidenhair fern, golden columbine and scarlet monkeyflower. We follow the creek into an inner gorge known as "the box" and cross four bridges before we reach Bright Angel Campground at Phantom Ranch.

Day 4 
Hike up Bright Angel Trail and cross a silver bridge spanning the Colorado River and up Devil's corkscrew eventually arriving at Indian Garden Campground and setting up camp. That evening we will hike to Plateau Point for a magnificent sunset.

Day 5
Hike up the remaining distance of the Bright Angel Trail to the rim and perhaps catch a glimpse of a condor along the way.
